Labradorite is a feldspar mineral famous for its striking, iridescent flashes of blue, green, gold, and copper light known as labradorescence. It was first found in 1770 on Paul's Island in Labrador, Canada, from which it gets its name. This mineral can be found in the United States, Canada, Madagascar, Russia, Norway, and the United Kingdom.
